I find myself a lot of times using the word “test” in my ministry context. A lot of times, I use this term when I am building templates or designing tools that are meant to be helpful for my church. I found myself using this post as a way to track where all my blog posts would populate on this site, until I came to find out that this post was more than just a “test” to see if I knew what I was doing or not, but an illustration as well.
When it is time to execute a test, we cannot afford to let the possibility of the idea being a flop keep us from the possibility that the idea that we came up with will change lives. Tests allow us to make adjustments. Tests allow us to see where we are deficient. Tests allow us to see how God has matured us. Tests allow us to gain confidence in the implementation of an idea.
Ask yourself, “What’s an idea that I have been shying away from that I can test this week?” Write the idea down! Test it out!
I could have easily never tested out starting a blog…
